In our many dimensions of life and living, the music we listen to, perform and appreciate forms an integral part of our psyche. Our concerts are always an exploration of history, in that our music was conceived and composed yesteryear – sometimes recently, sometimes centuries ago. This program begins with a work of celebration by Late Renaissance English composer, William Byrd, and comprises works of famed composers, Bach, Beethoven Brahms, Barber and Rachmaninoff as well as pieces from Dvorak and Sibelius symphonies and Bernstein’s West Side Story. History indeed! As a special treat we have included the beautiful aria duet, the Flower Song from Delibes opera, Lakme. We hope you enjoy our program, “To Music: To Life!”
